The name “Yahweh” comes from the Hebrew language. In Hebrew, the tetragrammaton refers to these four Hebrew letters: YHWH. These four letters translate to Yahweh in the English language.
In Judaism, saying the name Yahweh out loud is frowned upon. Because God is Yahweh, observant Jews refrain from saying this name of God out loud due to their deep reverence for God.
