God's Promises in the Bible are for You
God keeps His promises. Remember, the same Lord Who parted the Red Sea, spared Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and raised Jesus from the dead, also keeps His promises for you. You are His child and He is a good Father!

God Will Never Leave You
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. – Deuteronomy 31:8
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. – John 14:16-18

God’s promise to never leave us is weaved through the entire Bible. First, God reminds His people throughout the Old Testament. Later, Jesus reminds His disciples in the Gospels. Then, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us in Acts. We’re reminded in the New Testament that God remains with us now and in the age to come.
God is with you! He is near to you and will never leave you.
God Hears You
Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. – Isaiah 65:24
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. – 1 John 5:14
One of God’s promises for you in the new year, and always, is that He hears you when you pray. He is quick to listen and ready to hear your thoughts and desires. God wants to take your burdens and anxieties and, in return, give you wisdom and peace. What a glorious exchange!

God's Love Never Fails
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. – Psalm 136:1
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:35-39

Psalm 136 says “His steadfast love endures forever” 26 times. Romans 8 says that nothing — absolutely nothing — can separate us from God’s love. Therefore, despite what terrible circumstance we face, regardless of who our enemy is, or no matter when troubles come, nothing can separate us from the life-changing, life-giving, powerful love of God. Unconditional, unchanging, unending love is one of God’s promises for you to rely on no matter what comes your way this year.
God Forgives You
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. – Psalm 103:12
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. – Ephesians 1:7
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9
God has redeemed us. One definition of “redeem” means to “free from captivity by payment of ransom.” We were held captive by our sin. We were trapped in our transgressions and our sentence was death. But God paid the price to free us from captivity. Jesus died on the cross as a payment for our ransom.
Jesus died, in our place, so we may live forever with Him. He forgave our sin and removed them as far as the east is from the west. God is faithful, full of justice, and He will cleans us from our sins.
If you are carrying shame or guilt from past sins, Jesus is ready to forgive. Whatever sin you may be struggling with, Jesus is here to help you find freedom. Jesus, in His mercy and love, has redeemed us.
God Will Help You
What do you need? Wisdom, strength, peace, mercy, courage, power, love, self-control? Not only can God give you all of these things, He wants to. Here are a few Bible verses that show the many ways God helps us and gives us just what we need. God’s promises for your life are plentiful!
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. – Proverbs 2:6
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. – Hebrews 4:16
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” – Hebrews 13:6
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7

Dig into His Word, seek Him in prayer, and He will help you. His answers and His gifts for us may not always look the way we expect them to look, but we need to trust His wisdom and His plan. God knows what we need and the best way to provide it.
God has a Purpose for You

Please hear this: you are not an accident. You were created in the image of God, deeply loved by Him, on purpose and for a purpose. You are His child, created with a purpose to be in relationship with God and glorify Him forever. God’s plan for you is good, He is working for your good.
Sometimes, thinking about God’s promises for us, especially looking toward a new year or a new goal, feels like something we may attain someday. But, God’s promises for the future are also God’s promises for you right now.
Right now God is with you and He hears you. God’s love never fails. He forgives you, will help you, and He has a purpose for your life. You can trust God’s promises for you and build your life on them today.
