It’s an all too common story with an all too common narrative, “I just didn’t do enough!” Have you ever felt this way? I know I have and our team at Ask About My Faith too! Why? Because we’re human. Sometimes we can feel like worker bees rather than children of God and other times we feel afraid of the future rather than filled with faith for tomorrow. These are normal emotions that arise under stress, anxiety, fear, and overwhelm. But here’s the really good news: you’re not alone and Jesus has a way out!

In the moving 2 minute video of Katherine’s Story, we hear the first hand account of an everyday mom who shares her wrestle with a hidden form of anxiety. While Katherine doesn’t struggle from panic attacks or seasons of depression, her anxiety comes as a desire to control situations, circumstances, and people. She shares how her anxiety shows itself as a need to control her surroundings, in hopes that if she does everything perfectly – all will be well.
But…what about when things don’t go to plan? For Katherine, that’s when feelings of guilt and shame can come in waves and make it feel like she’s to blame when things don’t go according to plan. But thankfully, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, a hope that is incomprehensible, and a grace to rest in…and His name is Jesus Christ!

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you! - 1 Peter 5:7 NIV

Towards the end of the video, Katherine gives hope to each listener. She shares how she has found peace, comfort, and transformation through her faith in Jesus. She believes that despite hardship, God loves her unconditionally and that she doesn’t have to do anything to earn His love or protection! This moving realization has been the game changer she needed to overcome the waves of anxiety. Jesus changed Katherine’s story and He loves giving beauty for ashes to everyone who comes to Him. If you’re struggling today, we’re praying for Jesus to meet you as the Healer who calms every bit of anxiety!

Bible Verses that Reminds Us of Katherine’s Story:
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. - Matthew 11:28-30 ESV

I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears - Psalm 34:4 NIV
